Shame and self-criticism lie at the core of client

distress across many kinds of disorders.

Dr. Paul Gilbert, a clinical psychologist with 30 years

of research and clinical experience, has developed

Compassion Focused Therapy which offers

relief for these hard-to-treat clients.

In this workshop, Dr. Gilbert demonstrates how a

compassion focused approach, integrated into

therapy, allows for greater understanding and

healing.  He will show you how to help your

clients develop their own capacity to be self-soothing,

thus allowing shame and self-criticism to fade.
